32 daggers and a sword

2017 four wooden weapon racks, each containing eight wooden daggers, inside an old army tent.

Made towards the end of a month long residency period at the European Echange Academy, that took place in Gerswalde, Germany that year.
As I had been working on developing a short script around a knight, I had made a sword for myself during the residency.

This object gave me a sense of peace, power and grounded me in a way. At the end of the residency I wanted to give that feeling to the other residents so I made a smaller sword, or dagger, for everyone.
